EULESS-Susie Mae Collett passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018, in Bedford.
Susie was born October 1, 1931, in Monroe County, Alabama. She was the youngest of seven children. Her parents were farmers so she picked her fair share of cotton and vegetables. Mostly she was in charge of cooking while her brothers worked the farm. As a child Susie walked or rode a wagon to school and church.
She graduated and then moved to the big city of Biloxi, Mississippi. She lived all over the U.S. and spent several years in Germany. Throughout her life she had a variety of administrative jobs. She particularly liked case work with the mentally ill.
Susie had three children, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who all adored her. She also loved her church family and especially enjoyed performing with "the ladies".
