"To Liz, Ellen, and Ben, I just wanted to send a note to all of you on your mom's passing. She was a sweet lady, and I have fond memories of when my sister Judy and I would come to your house to play. We always had a good time there and your mom was part of that - I remember her being really funny! Prayers, hugs, and kisses to all of you and your families. Love, Kathy Lanum Williams "

"Marlene and I were roommates our freshmen year at Ball State an interesting combination of a girl from the city and a girl from the country. It was a good year and I loved her parents visits to campus. They were so kind and fun. We pledged ASA together and enjoyed the activiities in sorority. Clyde was a fraternity borhter of Gordon, my husband, I believe that we were the first two couples to have the fraternity sing in front of Lucina Hall. Marlene's good humor and pleasant demeaner is a wonderful memory."
