Nellie (Goforth) Sours, 86, Muncie, passed away in the arms of an angel Tuesday morning, May 1, 2018, at Signature Healthcare of Muncie.
She was born Saturday, December 12, 1931, in Unitia, Tennessee, the daughter of Dr. Noah and Artie Goforth. Nellie enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, working in her garden and going bowling. She was dearly loved by all her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her step-son, Duane Sours; step-daughter, Nicki (husband Sam) Falkenstein; and several nieces and nephews, including her special niece, Janice Fishback.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Noah and Artie Goforth; her husband, Alvin Sours in 2006; brothers and sisters, Arthur M. Goforth, Andy Goforth, Annabelle Turner, Bertha Brown, Hazel Silvers, and Pauline Spears.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Pastor Wayne Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 12:00 noon on Saturday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
