Betty Pfaffe-Nau, 98, of Phoenix, AZ formally of Keokuk, IA, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at Grandview Care Center in Sun City West, AZ.
Betty was born in Keokuk, IA on November 20, 1919, the daughter of Waldemar P. and Magdalen Drueke Pfaffe. She was united in marriage on December 29, 1948 to John R. Nau in Keokuk. He preceded her in death. Betty graduated in 1937 from Keokuk Senior High School in Keokuk, IA and Mercy School of Nursing in Davenport, IA. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Glendale, AZ. Betty was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served her country during World War II as a Nurse, 1st Lieutenant.
Betty is survived by a cousin Mark Pfaffe of Keokuk, IA and was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters Marguerite M Zimmerman and Rose M. Pfaffe.
A graveside service with military rites will be held at Keokuk's Oakland Catholic Cemetery in Keokuk, IA at 2:00pm on Friday May 11th.
