A LIFE THAT HAS BEEN LIVED TO ITS FULLEST
Ms. Betty Jean Willis, the daughter of Marion and Jessie Mae Richards Willis, was born on June 10, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She received her education at PS 41 and Shortridge High School.
Betty Jean Willis was employed by Hooks Distribution Center for forty-three years. She was a warehouse distribution center clerk.
She was a well known dedicated worker of the church, who taught Sunday school class, a member of the church choir, served on the trustee board, hospitality committee, and set up the communion every first Sunday for a number of years.
Betty Jean Willis departed this life on Thursday, May 3rd 2018 at her home at the age of 78. Her parents, four sisters, Leathia Bruce, Nellie Willis, Odessa Willis, and Louise Willis; three brothers Raymond Willis, Jerry Willis, and Robert Willis, preceded her in death.
Betty Jean leaves to cherish her memory of two sisters, Rosie Willis Jett of Omaha, Nebraska, and Gloria Willis; two brothers, Samuel Willis and John Willis; nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
