"We were shocked when we found out today about Marylu?s death. She had stopped by for a visit just a few days before she died and we never saw this coming. She was a great supporter of the local music scene. I will really miss seeing her in the audience when I play. She was a very kind person who would do whatever she could to help a friend. We?ll both miss her very much; and, she was just too damned young to die. Bob & Kate Corbit "

"Our deepest sympathy to your family, as we all mourn the loss of Mary lu. She was a wonderful friend of ours and camp neighbor. Her spirit will surely live on on the mountain. She had the heart of a child, and wisdom in life. Some of the younger campers called her "Mama Lu" for her wonderful ability to make everyone feel like family. She spoke highly of all of you, and her love of life was shared freely. Much love and prayers for healing hearts Mario & Christine"

"Mary Lu had a singsong nickname at camp. "Too-Dee-Lee-Doo" was like ringing a doorbell when she would enter a campsite! You knew who it was, and you were slap down happy when Mary Lu came by! She had a magical presence about her that was like "fairy dust". And it was contagious! Tough to be crabby when she was around! Just saying! She's ingrained in my memories - playing miniature golf at 'jimmie's on the bluff', campfires and playing Jenga inside when the rains came! One of the most trustworthy persons - no doubt. She was always there to run an errand, to help, and to always give care. Giving care was her best attribute. She shined when she did! My prayer is that right now on the other side, Mary Lu is getting the care she needs. I believe that she is feeling the healing. She deserves it. I will miss her for a very long time...like forever! Who could forget meeting Mary Lu?!!"
