Lois Louise Anderson age 86, of Ames, Iowa died May 9, in Ames, Iowa. A gathering of friends and family will be 4-6:00 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care 414 Lincoln Way, Ames, with a 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 19 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 1403 24th Street, Ames, Iowa. Burial will be at Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Lois was born October 7, 1931 in Ames, Iowa the daughter of Albert R. and Josephine Warren. She graduated from Ames High School in 1968. Lois married Archie Anderson, on June 6, 1948 in Ames, he preceded her in death in 2005. She worked for several years at Montgomery Ward Dept. Store and later at J.C. Pennys while running her sewing business from her home. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Calvary United Methodist Church where she was involved as a Sunday School Teacher, different church circles over the years and self-appointed church historian always ready with a camera at many events. Her children are very thankful for their mother's love and support through the years.
Lois is survived by her children, Carl (Deb) Anderson, Sharon (Denzil) Acuff, Glen (Mitzi) Anderson, 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, sister, Margaret Scott (John), sisters-in-law, Betty Weise, Elsie Spaid, Sarah Anderson and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie, daughter, Carol Spencer, her parents, brothers, Roy and Allan Warren, and a great granddaughter.

"Lois was my neighbor for many years. I always loved chatting with her and felt very fortunate to be her neighbor. She was always kind and thoughtful.
