Martha Lou "Amm" Sims, 90, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Bickford Cottage, Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church - Clinton. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Nate Mallinger, Jeff Mallinger, Matt McClimon, Ryan Lee, Michael McClimon, and Colton Mallinger. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00am to the service time at the church. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is honored to serve the Sims family. Martha Lou McNabb was born on January 16, 1928 in Clarksville, Arkansas, the daughter of George Alvin and Ada Doris (Coldwell) McNabb.
She married William Sims on September 5, 1948 in Clarksville, Arkansas; he passed away March 17, 1991.
Lou was employed at Lou Marge's for many years, Brumer Dudley Jewelers, a real estate agent for Howes & Jefferies and operated the Christian Book store. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, and helped with Vacation Bible School, she enjoyed playing bridge, and volunteered for hospice and the hospital's auxiliary.
Lou is survived by two daughters: Cindy McClimon of Clinton, Betsy (Jon) Lee of Camanche; 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 7 great great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.
Memorials can be made to Clinton Humane Society, North End Outreach Ministries Summer Lunch Program.
