In loving memory of

David A. Page
February 29, 1964 - May 4, 2018

David Anthony Page, age 54, of Middleton, Wisconsin, passed away on May 4th, 2018 in his home. David was born on February 29th, 1964 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the son of LaMont F Page Jr., and Lorraine Anne (Newell) Page.

David was raised in Bloomer Wisconsin, attending Bloomer High School where he was very active in music and school theater productions. He attended the University of WI-Eau Claire, Chippewa Valley Technical College, the University of Texas at Arlington, Texas, and Marian College in Fond du Lac, He worked for various home health care businesses in the Madison area.

David was always a showman and loved performing. He would shine when he was in front of an audience, whether large or small. He was famous within his family and friend groups for his "spot on" impersonations of family members and others, young and old. No one was immune to his antics as he enjoyed having fun in this arena. He will be remembered fondly for his incredibly accurate, 1980s Michael Jackson impersonations, where his dance moves were stunningly on the mark. His vocal talent was showcased through his "crooner" style of singing as he loved to perform Frank Sinatra songs, especially when singing with a big band.

A long time fan of drum corps, performing and being a part of the Madison Scouts Drum Corps was a precious time for David. Having had his goal set on becoming a Scout at the young age of 2, he made that goal a reality at the age of 16. His relationships with his Madison Scouts brothers were of utmost importance and cherished by him. Before becoming a member of the Madison Scouts, David as a young teen and talented photographer, would attend drum corp shows, sometimes entering as a "press photographer", having his photos printed in DCI magazines. Because of his love for classic drum corp, he dedicated much time collecting and preserving years of drum corp music from numerous corps around the country. Recordings of performances, warm ups, and rehearsals are all treasured.

David was a storyteller, but also loved to hear a great story told by others. This is evidenced by his numerous recording sessions interviewing those who he admired and had impacted his life.

In recent years, David thoroughly enjoyed his time at his place at Tuckaway Campground where his radio station "Atta Boy Dave" was produced. He spent time with friends and family during many get-togethers. David always wanted to take care of others and had a "soft spot" for animals. Throughout his life, he would take care of stray animals and take them in as part of the family. His place at Tuckaway was no exception. The strays knew that they would be taken care of at his camp.

Although living with difficult medical issues for many years, David continued to preserve recordings, share experiences, and through his showman attitude, give people as much happiness as he could until his passing. He has left us with recorded music and conversation, and stories that will be remembered. We miss him dearly and treasure his memory.

Survivors left to cherish his memory include parents, LaMont and Lorraine (Newell) Page; sisters, Elizabeth Page; and Susan Beekman (Matthew Walker); nephew, Evan Beekman; aunts Bonnie Reisdorph, Roxanne Kurtzweil, Diane Glodoski, Faye Seigel, and Lisa Wysocki (Scott); uncles, Patrick Page, Gary Newell (Linda), Tom Newell, and Brian Newell and numerous cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents LaMont and Marie (Weigel) Page, maternal grandparents Charles and Vera (Baney) Newell; brother, Daniel Page; and two nephews, Andrew Beekman and Matthew Beekman.

A Celebration of Life in honor of David will be held on Sunday June 3, 2018 at Cress Funeral Service, 6021 University Ave. Middleton, WI with Visitation from 1 PM to 4 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 4 PM.
