"My sincere condolences to Don's whole family. I was blessed to be one of his caretakers.... Couple funny stories. I'd come to remind Don about supper. He'd say he wasn't sure he was gonna come out, he wasn't feeling too good. But before I left he'd ask if I'd unwrap a few mini candy bars for him. I'd smile and shake my head. I figured he's worked his butt off his whole life, he deserved "some" chocolate (a lot) every now and then; or candy, nuts, salmon or whatever he wanted. Second one; everybody's air conditioners were winterized. But not Don's. His was on 365 24/7. If I ever needed to cool off, I'd go see if his room needed picked up or his urinal emptied, or whatever I could do...shhhhh. He was so appreciative for all the help he was given. Please and thank you go a long way and he'd tell you that several times before you'd leave even if you were only in there a few minutes. He was genuinely a nice guy. "
