Funeral services for Mrs. Emojean Ray Adcock, age 95, of Wayne Michigan and formerly of Allons will be conducted 4 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 12noon until time of services at Speck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Emojean passed from this life on Saturday morning, May 12, 2018 in Westland, Michigan. She was born in Allons, Tennessee on May 5, 1923 to the late Wade D. & Hattie Emma Hembree Ray. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a 1941 Graduate of Livingston Academy. After graduation she moved with her sisters to Michigan and started working for the Chrysler Motor Company. Soon after she started with Chrysler she met the love of her life Mr. James Edward Adcock, who was from Sparta, Tennessee, just a few towns over from where she was raised. Being raised on a farm, Emojean knew how to take care of her family, whether it was cooking, canning making strawberry preserves or sewing clothes, she could do it all. Emojean was a family lady who loved being with her family as much as possible.

She leaves her daughters, J. Carol McKay & husband Greg of Livonia, MI, & Peggy Ann Adcock of Westland, MI; son, James M. Adcock of Westland, MI; grandchildren, Mark McKay, Nicole Upham & husband Robb, Derrick Jairala & wife April & Victoria Adcock; 10 great grandchildren & daughter-in-law, Judy Adcock.

In addition to her parents, Emojean was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Edward Adcock; son, Edward Adcock & sisters, Ruby Ray, Marie Crow & Melba Rassega.
