Robert Eugene Mason
April 22, 1960 - May 14, 2018

Robert Eugene Mason, 58, of Keokuk, Iowa, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, at his home.

Robert was born in Keokuk, Iowa on April 22, 1960, to Robert B. and Margaret Ragnhild Anderson Mason.

Robert graduated from Keokuk High School. Later, he worked at Keokuk Steel Castings and Griffin Wheel for thirty-five years, until retiring three years ago. He was baptized and confirmed in the Messiah Lutheran Church, of Keokuk. Robert was an artistic person who expressed his creativity through wood-burning and sketching. He also enjoyed golfing, kayaking, and fishing, and was an avid sports fan. Robert's greatest passion in life was being a loving, caring, and devoted father to his sons. Ops, we need to ad his greatest asset was his sense of humor and wittiness.

Robert is survived by his son, Stefan and stepson, Heath, and their mother, Gwen Kiser, all of Keokuk; his father, Robert B. Mason, of Keokuk; his siblings, Dagmar (Ken) Grieve, of Salem, OR, Sandy Adams, of Tucson, AZ, Robin Mason, of Rochester, IL, Cheryl (Rick) Lunardi, of Eldridge, IA, and Ryan Mason, of Rochester, IL; his God-daughter, Molly Mason; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and grandparents, and an uncle, Norman Mason.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center on 1212 Concert Street, with Rev. Lester Dumer officiating.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM, Saturday, before the services.

A memorial has been established in his name, or may be made to donor's choice.
