On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, Robert W. Krayer, Jr. of Lighthouse Point, Florida passed away suddenly while at home. He was 76.
Born and raised by Robert W. Krayer Sr. and Mary Jane Sponseller on January 26th, 1942 in Massillon Ohio, Bob began his lifetime interest and passion for football. He had tremendous admiration and appreciation of his mid-west upbringing and early family home life. Bob's roots as a Massillon Tiger football fan, High School class president, co-captain of the swim team, golf enthusiast, various club memberships, and the love and support of his wonderful family and friends defined the quality of the person that he became.
He completed his undergrad education at Miami of Ohio University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Bob then attended Case Western School of Law where he graduated with a Juris Doctor Degree in Law. Following his graduation, Bob was recruited and became a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation where he was a well respected and revered employee for 32 years. After his first office assignment in Savannah Georgia, Bob was transferred to the Detroit Michigan FBI office where a fellow agent and close friend assigned his lifelong nickname, "Fuzzy". He was affectionately and appropriately named due to his undercover squad assignment and the beard he maintained throughout his life.
It was during this time period in the Detroit area that he met and fell in love with his wife Cathy. Their 38-year marriage began at the start of his transfer to the Miami FBI office in 1980. His daughter Cori, now 31 years old, solidified his loving relationship and he always expressed his feelings in this regard stating that he could never imagine life without her. Bob was a gentleman in every sense of its meaning and a kind and loving friend to all who knew him. He touched us with his loving kindness and will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know this beloved gentleman, husband, father, brother, and friend.
The beloved husband of Cathy Krayer and loving father to Cori Krayer. He is the brother of Jill DeLisa, Susan Willhite, Jane Codiamat, Mimi Cook and the late Steve Krayer. He is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and his grand-dog "Hatchet".
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 4650 N. Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point, Florida 33064 where a service to celebrate Robert's life will begin at 6:00 p.m. Private committal services will be held at a later date.

"Uncle Bob was one of the kindest individuals and he will be greatly missed. My fondest memories were when he lived in Michigan and we as a family would visit. He was always so much fun!! We got to swim, boat, ski, sail and tube on the lake where he lived. I remember one time when we visited, he had this HUGE jar of coins and said that if my brother (Shawn) and I counted all of it, we could keep it. So we did....and it had couple hundred dollars! We were only about 8 and 12 so we were soooo excited!! Other trips included the family reunion to Branson, Missouri and of course when my husband and I visited he and Cathy in Florida. I always loved to spend time with him!! I love you Uncle Bob!! You will be missed!!"

"Fuzzy was a good friend and one of the first agents I formed a friendship with in the early days of my Bureau career. He and his first wife, Cheryl lived in the same apartment complex as me and my wife in Roseville, MI. They would later stand up for us in our wedding in December 1970.
