Genaro "Gene" Benavidez Jr., 74, of Greeley, died May 10, 2018 in Greeley, Colorado after a long lingering illness complicated by pneumonia. He was born to Genaro Sr. and Juana (Moreno) Benavidez on April 13, 1944 in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Gene is survived by his wife, Heidi Pitmon Benavidez; children, Michelle BenavidezReddeg, Ricky Benavidez and Gina Proctor; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Alice Cooke, Eloy Benavidez, and Mary Vigil Montoya.
Graveside service will be held on May 17, 2018 at 10:15 am at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
