FORT WORTH - Mary Louisa "Mary Lou" Campos Rios, 79, died peacefully in hospice care on Sunday, May 20, 2018,
Mary Lou was born on June 20, 1938, in San Antonio, Texas to her parents, Maria Flores Campos and Antonio Campos. Mary was the 2nd to the youngest child of 11 siblings. She married Luis P. Rios in 1957 in Wabash, IN. In 1968, Mary Lou and Luis moved to Plainview, Texas where she worked at Heritage Home nursing home, was an in-home assistant for the elderly, and helped Luis at Quarterway Gin. Mary Lou was known for her sewing and her cooking. She created her own patterns and her adorable bunny rabbit dolls and beautiful dresses were loved deeply by her granddaughters and great-granddaughters. Mary Lou loved to cook, she fed not only her family with her amazing tamales, but often the entire neighborhood! Mary Lou and Luis moved to Fort Worth in 1990, where she continued to help raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sew for her family and friends, and spend time tending her immaculate garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 10 siblings.
Survivors: Husband, Luis P. Rios; daughter and son-in-law, Alicia C. Rios-Huerta and Jesse Huerta; son and daughter-in-law, Louis C. Rios, Jr and Rosie Flores Rios; son and daughter-in-law, Tony C. Rios and Laurinda Arroyos Rios; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild
