May 19, 1963 - May 23, 2018

Dean Halverson, 55, of Beaman, IA, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the Beaman United Methodist Church in Beaman. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2018, at the Beaman United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery in Beaman. Dean was born May 19, 1963, to Harold and Pauline (Stouffer) Halverson in Marshalltown, IA. He graduated from Gladbrook High School in 1981. Dean attended Hawkeye Technical College. After college, he served his country in the United States Army Reserves. Dean was united in marriage to Diane "Didee" Kopsa on June 17, 1989. She died July 31, 2007. He was employed with the Mid-Iowa Co-op as the Feed Mill Manager. Dean enjoyed camping and Nascar racing. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.

Dean will be missed by his two sons, Brody Halverson and Zach Halverson, both of Beaman; a brother, John (Barb) Halverson of Marshalltown; three sisters, Carolyn (Bob) Dalton of Chatham, IL, Linda (Mike Wilhelm) Halverson of Des Moines, IA, and Diana (Mark) Volkens of Gladbrook. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane "Didee" Halverson, parents, and two sisters, Kathie Armijo and Donna Brady.
