She married Paul Kocvara in 1964, who passed away in 1975. She later married Ray Stewart in 1992, who preceded her in death on March 17, 2017.
Carolyn worked many years in Government Service with Dane County Human Services followed by the State of Wisconsin until her retirement.
Survivors include her daughter Kristin (Kocvara) Reeves; her step-children Mark (Linda) Stewart and Dana (Doug) Wallin and their families; her beloved dog Stewie; her special cousins Kathy (Mike) Callies and LuAnn (Chris) Kelley and their families; and many other friends and family including relatives in South Carolina.

Per Carolyn's request there will be no service but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank St. Mary's Hospital for the care they provided to Carolyn. We also extend a very special thank you to her beloved best friend Teri Finnegan and her husband Jim for all of the love and support they provided.
"I'm glad I didn't know the way it all would end. The way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance. I could have missed the pain, but I would have had to miss the dance."
Love you to the moon and back, Mom.

"I worked with Carol while we were both with the State. Her photo shows the smile and attitude that were her common way, always "up" and fun but a serious worker. I'm sorry to see she passed but have good memories."

"Another Centralite goes to heaven. So glad Lyn was part of our Central girls lunches when she moved back to Madison. Ours (1962) was one of "the best" Central Highschool classes. "Here's a toast" to all here and gone."

"What a great picture of your mom, Kris! As you know we were very shocked of her deteriorating health. We believe, and hopefully you do also that your mom is at peace. We are so pleased Stewie is now with you, and Monkey, living on the circle. Take care, Kris"
