February 27, 1940 - June 2, 2018

Eula Mae Rawls, age 78 of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A private family burial will take place on Thursday at Silent City Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Monroe Ambulance and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com
The daughter of, Dale Roscoe and Marjorie Pearl (Waddle) Phifer, Eula was born on February 27, 1940, in Marion County, Iowa. Eula graduated from Monroe High School in 1958. She worked at Maytag in Newton, retiring in 2002.
Those left to honor her memory include her children; Sam (Connie) Nelson of New Sharon, Sandra (Mike) Quick of Pleasant Hill, Tom (Molly) Rawls of Altoona, Louie Rawls of Monroe and Robin Rawls of Pella; five grandchildren; Jessy (Neal) Lambert of Des Moines, Matt Quick of Pleasant Hill, Megan Quick of Kansas City, Missouri, Nick Rawls of Altoona and Jordan (Brad) Hennessee of Indianola; two great grandchildren, Finn and Shae and a sister, Joyce Cline of Des Moines. Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Dolores Marshall and Betty Beyer and a brother, Johnny Phifer.
