Gary Morgan, 65, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. Cremation rites were accorded and a private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family of Gary Morgan. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com.
Gary Lee Morgan was born January 24, 1953, to Jack Leroy and Alice Mae (Oehlert) Morgan in Waterloo, IA. He graduated from Gladbrook High School. Gary served in the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1977. He was married to Shari Youngbear. They had a daughter, Tonya. Gary spent most of his career working in construction. He was always proud and known for his charitable donations to the VA.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Tonya (Brett) Branan and their children, Vincent, Haydin, and Eligh of Tama, IA; sisters Patricia Smock of Tama and Deb Morgan of Lampasas, TX; and a nephew, Jamie Smock of Sully, IA. Gary was preceded in death by his grandmother, Edna Allinson, his mother, Alice Morgan, and a nephew, Shane Smock.
