The funeral for Helen Marie Worden will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes Chapel in Rochester with Chaplain Nancy Toensing officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Worden, 83 of Rochester died peacefully, with family by her side, on June 11, 2018 at Benedict House, Madonna Towers.
Helen was born on December 17, 1934 to William and Mary (Ahleda) Wisner. She married Phillip Earl Worden on January 7, 1955 in Michigan. They started their family in Michigan and moved to San Jose, California in 1959. They subsequently made their home in Rochester, Minnesota in 1968. Helen has worked as a bank teller, hospital lab secretary and children's department associate at Penny's but her foremost role was as homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her three children, Cally (Steve), Scott (Debbie), Harry (Robyn), six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. As well as one sister (Caroline) and one brother (Henry).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil, in 2008; her grandson Jason in 2000 and two brothers.
