In loving memory of

Richard "Dick" A. Trisko
September 19, 1947 - June 10, 2018

Richard Albert "Dick" Trisko, 70, of Rochester MN spent the last hours of his life surrounded by his wife and children, as they sang him into a peaceful passing, on June 10th, 2018, as the midnight hour was close in hand

To describe all that Dick was and all that he meant would be futile. He was a husband, father, brother, grandfather, musician, actor, radio personality, Vietnam vet, and a friend. And beyond all those titles, he was a deeply kind man who put others first every time, who loved his family so deeply we are all changed for the better, and who was quick with a laugh, a smile, a compliment, and a song. He had a true gift with music that created a soundtrack to our lives and that of many.

Dick was born in Alexandria, MN on September, 19th, 1947 and raised on a dairy farm in Osakis, MN by the late Albert and Delores Trisko. He served his country as a Navy Corpsman and is a Vietnam Veteran. He traveled the country as a professional musician and worked in radio broadcasting for over 25 years. He married the love of his life and best friend in 1981. He and his family settled in Rochester, MN in 1993 where he lived the rest of his life, most recently as school bus driver for Rochester Public Schools.

He is survived by his wife Diane Trisko, children, Daughters Kimberly Pomeroy Reid and Tammi (Alexandre) Goethe, Sons Jay (Kaelyn) Trisko and Lane (Erin) Dwyer Trisko, grandchildren, Dillon, Cameron, Alex, Michaela, Xavier, Bella, Oliver, Sullivan, Hannah and Seth, siblings, Jan Roberts, Tom (Brenda) Trisko, and Jane (John) Chagnon, along with so many others who were blessed to call him friend and family.

A visitation will be held this Tuesday, June 12th, 2018, from 5pm-7pm at Gloria Dei Church.

A celebration of his life and memorial service will be held this Wednesday, June 13th, 2018 from 3pm-4pm at Gloria Dei Church, located at 1212 12th Ave, Rochester, MN 55901.

"Diane and Family: I can't tell you how heartbroken I was to hear this news. I have thought of Dick, and you, often over the years...and of course have told myself that when I was back in Rochester I'd call and get together with him...and we never do quite catch up. And now it's too late. Dick was a great friend and one of the nicest guys I've ever know. From our meeting at the Civic Theatre, to our Saturday mornings at the radio station we shared a lot of laughs and good times. When I was MD at the Civic Theatre, I used to look forward to his stopping in and having coffee with me. The old rock-and-roller will certainly be missed, but never forgotten. I'm so sorry I can't be there for the service, but know that you and the family are in my thoughts and prayers as Dick moves on to another plane. It was a blessing in my life to have known him...and I'll miss him. "

"Dear Diane & family. I was so saddened to hear that Dick is no longer part of this world. He was a lovely, gentle man. I knew him when he was the singer and front man in the band in which my husband, Russ Melton played. Dick could be so sexy & romantic when he sang. I loved his radio personality too. It was fabulous when he met Diane and became a family man. I really appreciated him rallying to help Cam when Russ had his heart attack. I hope that you have lots of memories to carry you through this hard time. Please know that you are in the Meltons' thoughts & prayers. Sincerely, Betsy, Cam & Kenzie"
