Rita Eleanor Haladey, 90, of Fort Lauderdale, passed away June 3, 2018. Rita was a long time resident of Fort Lauderdale where she and her late husband, of which she was married for 57 years, moved from Lorain, Ohio in 1985. She was a past President of the Lakeland Woman's Club (Lorain, Ohio), leading the fundraising efforts for the construction of Lorain Community Hospital. Rita enjoyed reading, playing cards, but most importantly spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grand children.
She was born in Lorain, OH., the daughter of Louis and Agnes Hobeck Manichl. Rita is survived by her daughter, Karen ( Dr. Edgar ) Bolton; granddaughters, Heather Bolton and Mary ( Matthew ) Kazior; great granddaughters, Samantha Soderland and Elizabeth Kazior; sisters, Vera McKlveen and Norma Balmert; nieces and nephews, Craig and Jack McKlveen, Randy and Brad Balmert, Beck and Lyn Manichl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Haladey; son, Robert K. Haladey; a brother, Arthur Manichl and a nephew, Scott McKlveen.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:30am, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Fort Lauderdale.
