Daniel Eldon Britsch
September 16, 1969 - June 8, 2018

PARNELL - Daniel "Dan" Eldon Britsch, 48, of Parnell passed away unexpectedly on Friday June 8, 2018.
Daniel was born September 16, 1969 in Oskaloosa, IA to Jerry and Jane (Kibling) Britsch. Daniel was raised in Washington, IA graduating from Washington High School in 1988. He attended Kirkwood Community College and graduated with an Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance.
While working for Burlington Northern Railroad he met and married the love of his life Wanda Jackson on December 31, 1998 to this union there were 3 children born.
Daniel enjoyed cooking for everyone. If you left the dinner table hungry it was your own fault. He was a devoted father and husband. His family gave him great joy. Daniel was an avid Coca Cola collector as well as enjoying gun collecting. He also enjoyed watching football especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. Daniel had a great influence on his family, he helped his wife Wanda overcome her fear of driving after they had began dating.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife Wanda and three children, Jonathon, Robert, and Mary all of the family home. Siblings Teresa Patterson of Venice FL, Sherry Christensen of Kalona, IA, Elizabeth Johnson of Venice, FL, Jeffrey Britsch of Kalona, IA, and Michael (Jean) of Indianola, IA. Daniel is also survived by his mother-in-law Bonnie Tousley of Douglas, WY, father-in-law Morgen Jackson of Randolf, UT, brothers-in-law Robert Jackson of Lamoille, NV, Randy (Jessie) Jackson of Elko, NV and sister-in-law Wendy Hill of Douglas, WY, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents as well as brother-in-law Kenny Jackson .
Visitation will be Wednesday June 13, 2018 from 5-7 pm and the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home 504 12th St Kalona, IA 52247.
A Memorial service for Daniel will take place on Thursday June 14th, 2018 at 2pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 570 Dublin Drive Iowa City, IA 52246
