Roberta "Bobbie" G. Nelson, 90, formerly of West Burlington died 11:28 a.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton, MO.
Born July 6, 1927 in St. Joseph, MO she was the daughter or Cecil and Freda (Biggerstaff) Maxey Phillips. She married Roy Nelson Sr. on November 9, 1946 in Troy, MO. He died February 10, 2007.
Bobbie worked for many years in the bookkeeping department at Benner Tea Co. She retired in 1978.
She was a member of West Burlington Christian Church.
She was a Primetimer and enjoyed golfing and traveling in their motor home. She previously lived in McAllen, TX for about 12 years and Branson, MO for about 10 years.
Survivors include her daughter Carol (John) Hunderdosse of West Burlington; son Roy (Karen) Nelson Jr. of Canton, MO; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.
A memorial has been established for West Burlington Christian Church.
