Alice Imogene Buck Miles, TX Alice Imogene "Imo" Buck, age 96, of Miles, passed away on Friday June 8, 2018 at the Senior Care Center in San Angelo. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 11, 2018 at Robert Massie Funeral Home and services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Burial will follow at Miles Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held after the service at Paul Ann Baptist Church. Time will be announced at the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Imo was born February 26, 1922 to Amial Jesse Young and Mittie Lee Morgan Young in San Angelo. She married Lonnie Leonard Buck Jr. on May 17, 1946 in San Angelo. Imo was preceded in death by her loving parents, her beloved husband Leonard and a grandson, Bryan Paul Buck. She is survived by her sisters, Earlene "Skipper" Barton and Irene Thames, her children Lonnie L. Buck III and wife Rebecca, Lewis Jesse Buck and wife Beth, ex-daughter-in-law Cookie Waggoner Buck Woods. Imo is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer Buck Hair and husband Michael, Kevin Dell Buck, and Randall Len Buck. Great grandchildren Christopher Allen Buck and wife Kathleen, Megan Nicholle Tovar and husband Daniel, Timothy Sean Buck and wife Jondalynn, Katherine Mariegrace Hair, Mayajoy Elizabeth Hair and Amial Benjamin Hair. Great-great grandchildren are Benton Lewis, Jayden Howard and Kyson Daniel, and numerous nieces and nephews. Imogene loved knowledge and loved imparting that knowledge to others. She graduated from Sul Ross University with a teaching degree in Arts and English. After graduation during WWII, she taught from Del Rio to Fort Stockton, Texas. She returned to San Angelo and on May 17th, 1946 married the love of her life Lonnie Leonard Buck Jr. Her life was busy rearing their two sons, Buddy and Jesse, while teaching at Holiman Elementary and Lake View High School. Imo touched the lives of many students through a long career teaching English, and teaching and sharing her passion for Art. She spent many happy hours visiting with family and friends while playing cards and board games, especially Dominos. Her life touched many students and friends and left them all for the better.
