Dr. Joyce Lewis wrote on Jan 7, 2022:

"Dr. Lolla was my dissertation advisor in the 1990s. I was an active duty soldier at the time and it took me 11 years to complete the doctoral program. So many times, I wanted to quit; however, Dr. Lolla believed in me when I didn't. I just stumbled across this obituary and after all these many years, my heart is breaking to learn that this wonderful, kind, educator and leader has passed. I should have dedicated my dissertation to him. Earning my doctorate changed my life and will forever be grateful to Dr. Lolla. My deepest condolences to his family. Dr. Joyce (Yanichko) Lewis. "
