Edward L. Stenli
June 15, 1939 - June 11, 2018

Brodhead- Edward L. Stenli, age 78, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Monroe Hospital. He was born in Stoughton on June 15, 1939 the son of Daniel and Clara (Helgerson) Stenli. Edward married the love of his life Marjorie Midthun on October 17, 1959 and they were married 47 years until her passing in 2007.
Edward attended school through the 8th grade and was proud that he was asked at that time to help run the farm just south of Rockdale due to the passing of his father. He later worked at Nunn Bush shoe factory for 26 years until it's closing. Soon after, he learned to drive truck from our dear family member Jim Halverson and continued driving truck until his retirement. Edward enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and spending vacations every year in a cabin on the lake in northern Wisconsin. He also loved playing cards with family and friends, don't forget he would say "love going to bingo with your mother."
Edward is survived by his son, Rick (Patricia Sandridge) Stenli; five grandchildren, Angela (Booker) Johnson, Julie (Bill) Michael, Jacob (Samantha) Stenli, Mistina (Tony) Lottes, and Nikolas; six great grandchildren, Christina, Dylan, Aisha, Blake, Rozlyn and Katana; two sisters-in-law, Carol and Frances Stenli; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Stenli; and siblings, Dorothy, Margaret, Margaret Marie, Evelyn, Lucille, Daniel, Norman and Robert.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 25, 2018 at West Koshkonong Lutheran Church, 1911 Koshkonong Road, Stoughton, with Rev. Richard Dowling officiating. Burial will follow in West Koshkonong Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, following the burial, in the church fellowship hall.
