"I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. There is a very comforting scripture found at Isaiah 25:8. It says that soon Jehovah will swallow up death forever and that he will wipe away all of the tears. So we can look forward to a time when death will be done away with forever. I hope that this scripture can bring some comfort during this time."

Albert Ernest Wuestefeld, age 80, of Englewood, FL and Red Bank, NJ, died on June 7, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, FL, with his wife and daughter by his side.
Al was born on November 12, 1937, in New York, to the late Henry Albert and Edith Stryker Wuestefeld. He was raised in Keyport, NJ and graduated from Keyport Central High School in 1956.
Following high school, he joined the military, starting with the Army in 1956. Once he completed basic training, he moved onto the Marine Corps in 1957. Upon being honorably discharged from the Corps in 1962, he finished his education at Monmouth University.
He then joined the Keyport police force and soon his sister introduced him to his wife, Marilyn; they were married in 1968. In 1971 he continued his law enforcement career as an investigator with the Monmouth County Prosecutor's office. During his tenure there, he graduated from the FBI National Academy and worked in both the Major Crimes and Arson units until he retired as Sergeant in 1991.
During his retirement, he enjoyed cooking, cheering for Notre Dame football, trading stories with his fellow county detectives, spending summers at the beach at Ship Ahoy Beach Club in Sea Bright, NJ, and golfing in the winter in Englewood, FL. His favorite place to be was quietly floating on his back in the Atlantic Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico, depending on the season.
He was predeceased by his brother, Roger Wuestefeld of Wall, NJ. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Showler Wuestefeld of Englewood, FL and Red Bank NJ, and his daughter, Amy Wuestefeld of Rumson, NJ, his sister, Jane Wheeler of Stuart, FL, his sister in law, Diane Wuestefeld of Wall, NJ, his nieces Jill Gleichman of Stuart, FL and Amanda Wuestefeld of Wall, NJ and his nephews Gary Gleichman of Stuart, FL and Jason Wuestefeld of Wall, NJ.
A memorial mass will be held at Holy Cross Church in Rumson, NJ in July.
