ROSEDALE- Alexander (Alan) Nebesny, 65, of Rosedale, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 13, 1953, in Apucarana, Brazil. Alan worked as a book representative for Books Are Fun for the last twenty years. He is survived by his wife Melanie of 35 years, daughter Jennifer and husband Clinton Whitson, son Nicholas and wife Pamela, grandsons Coen, Carter and Cale Whitson, father, Michael Nebesny, and sister Anna Nebesny-Fender. Alan was preceded in death by his mother, Stefana Nebesny, and brother-in-law Charles Fender. He was a member of St. George Orthodox Church. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 15th, from 4-8 p.m., at the Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St. Indianapolis, with the service of the Trisagion for the departed at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16th at Crown Hill Cemetery Gothic Chapel. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial donations be made to St. George Orthodox Church, 10748 E. 116th Street, Fishers, IN.

"I?ll never forget Alan he was a great guy every time I was around Alan you always walked away with a smile he liked to joke around and every time he would get you laughing and I think he enjoyed making people walk away and feel good . Alan will be missed by many . He has a great wife Mel who is a good friend of mine and I love her and he has a wonderful family that I know he was proud of . I just want Mel nick and Jen that my heart goes out to them and they are in our prayers "

"Alan was such a character. He always brought a smile to your face when he entered the building. Always had a joke to go along with that smile. Last time I saw him and Mel at Meijers he said he would keep fighting the fight. Mel I'm so sorry he lost the fight but I'm sure he'll leave many reminders he'll be watching over you all.
