December 2, 1946 - June 19, 2018
Laura Michelle Lubin, 71, of Boca Raton, FL passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2018, due to heart failure. She is the beloved sister/sister-in-law of Joel and Laura F. Lubin of Falmouth, MA, as well as Franchot and Tracey Lubin of Wellesley MA.
She leaves her son Ryan Hunt from Pompano Beach, FL.
Laura was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 2, 1946 and grew up in Wellesley, MA. She was a 1964 graduate of Welllesley High School, and completed a B.S. in education at Framingham State College. She continued her studies there, receiving an M.S. degree in Food and Nutrition in 1970. Most of her career she served as a Clinical Dietician at Quincy Medical Centre and later she worked as a Dietary Consultant at several South Shore Health Care facilities. At age 57 she pursued her long time dream of becoming a nurse and completed the Registered Nurse Program at Quincy College in 2006. Laura worked in several nursing homes on the South Shore and at Arbour H.R.I. Hospital in Brookline, MA before retiring and using her nursing skills to provide care for her mother during her last years.
Laura was a congenial, outgoing person who loved music, movies, and reading. She so enjoyed being in the Health Care profession providing service to others. Friends and family remember her ever present smile, wonderful sense of humor and her devotion to her two sons, Adam (deceased) and Ryan.
Memorial Services will be held 1:00 PM, Sunday, July 8th at the Falmouth Jewish Congregation, 7 Hatchville Rd., East Falmouth, MA. A brief reception at the same site will follow.
