Linda Lou Elbert was born June 4, 1959, in Algona, Iowa, the daughter of Willis and LaBerta (Ostwald) Struecker. She grew up near Whittemore and attended St. Paul's Lutheran School and later the Algona Middle School. Linda graduated from the Algona High School in 1977.
On August 27, 1977, Linda was united in marriage to William "Bill" Elbert at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Whittemore. Following their marriage they settled in Whittemore and have lived there ever since. Linda worked various jobs over the years, but most recently was working at AGP in Whittemore for the last 17 years.
Linda lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed the time she was able to be with her family as that was the most important thing to her. She enjoyed motorcycle rides, bird watching, flowers, working in her yard, coffee and drinks on the patio, camp fires and just being outside.
Linda died Friday, June 22, 2018, from injuries in a motorcycle accident near Colony, Wyoming. She was 59.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Elbert of Whittemore; daughter, Jessica Hansen and fiancé, Travis Murray of Wallingford; son, Josh (Kristin) Elbert of Whittemore; grandchildren, Hudson, Aydan, Laney (Dylan), Valorie (Andrew), Caleb (Gavin); parents, Willis and LaBerta Struecker of Whittemore; siblings, Betty (Hugh) Hoger of Spencer; Kerry Struecker of Fenton; Diane Waggoner of Sioux Rapids; Peg (Tom) Illg of Whittemore; Oran (Marilyn) Struecker of Norwalk; Tina (Kevin) Berte of Whittemore; sister-in-law, Joann (Dale) Briggs of Algona; brother-in-law, Rick (Julie) Elbert of Algona; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Wayne and Illa Mae Elbert and brother-in-law, Jimmy Elbert.
