Calvin Joe Wagaman
November 8, 1959 - June 23, 2018

Calvin Wagaman, 58, of Glenwood, passed away at Bergen Mercy in Omaha, NE on Saturday, June 23, 2018 . Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church north of Glenwood with visitation being held one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Clarinda, IA. Loess Hills Funeral Home of Glenwood in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in honor of Calvin.

Calvin Joe Wagaman, son of Leota Mae (Baker) and Paul Fred Wagaman, was born on November 8, 1959 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Calvin received his education at the Glenwood State School through the 12th grade. He worked at Vodek in Council Bluffs for a couple of years, then was a recycler in the can redemption center at GRC.

Calvin enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics with the softball throw and bounce ball events. He liked to fish and loved watching wrestling, especially Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin, who were his favorites. Calvin enjoyed doing arts and crafts, delivering mail to the GRC, and helping plan family meals during the holidays.

Calvin passed away on June 23, 2018 at Bergan Mercy in Omaha, NE, at the age of 58 years, 7 months, and 15 days. He was preceded in death by his father; and great niece Katie Weber-Kuhl.

Calvin is survived by his mother Mae Wagaman of Glenwood; siblings, Paul "Buck" Wagaman of Glenwood, Kathleen Kuhl of Glenwood, Janice Manning of Rock Hill, SC, Donald Wagaman of Glenwood, Rhoda Wagaman of Hamburg, IA, and Fred Wagaman of Marengo, IA; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; the staff and residents at GRC; and many friends.

"May and family. I am soooo sorry and soooo sad to hear of Calvin's passing. I Live Calvin and even if we hadn't seen each other in 20 years, he always knew me and ALWAYS called me Deona Faye. Calvin will we greatly missed. Love and light to all of you. "
