Doris Irene Lore (Graves) peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the age of 90.
Doris, the daughter of Emmet and Ethel (Patton) Graves was born on July 25, 1927, in rural Allison, IA, where she spent her childhood years with her three sisters and received her early education.
On June 21, 1947, Doris was united in marriage to Marvin E. Lore, son of Eugene and Lila (Harris) Lore, at the Associated Church of Allison by the Rev. Frederick J. Clark.
Doris was predeceased by her husband, Marvin; her son, Stephen; her parents, Emmet & Ethel Graves; and two sisters, Eileen Marando and Jean Tucker.
She is survived by her son; Timothy Lore, her two daughters; Sharon Sheehan (Kevin) and Karen Hatcher (Dorian), her daughter in law; Janet Lore, her sister; Patricia Murphy, grandchildren; Erin, Ryan (Brianna), Patricia, Eric, Ashley & Austin, her great-grandchildren; Emma, Samuel & Ryker and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 30th from 9am-10am at the Allison Congregational Church, 508 N Main St., with coffee and refreshments. A funeral and celebration of life will follow at 10am. Pastor Craig Harris will officiate.
Doris's burial will follow at the Hitesville Cemetery in Kesley. Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Allison, IA (319-267-2507) is handling the details.
