Edward James Miller
August 9, 1950 - June 26, 2018

Wellman- Edward James Miller was born August 9, 1950 in Washington, Iowa the son of Harold and Olive (Perrin) Miller. He graduated from Mid-Prairie High School in 1969 and graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a degree in Auto Mechanics and Business. Edward served in the United States Army, 3rd Infantry Division, for two years. He worked at Bloom Electric, Oral B and the University of Iowa Hospital. He was united in marriage to Jayne Townsend in 1975 in Wellman. To this union they were blessed with two sons, and later divorced. Edward passed away at his home Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the age of 67 years.

Edward is survived by two sons: Ryan Miller of Kalona and Jeffrey (Katie) Miller of Wellman; two grandchildren: Cameron and Olivia Miller; four siblings: Julie (Don) Baker of Washington; Gary Roberts of Beverly Hills, FL; Iva Hoylman of North English, Bill (Cheryl) Miller of Freeport, IL; extended family Carrie Stusse and Bryan Stusse. He was preceded in death by his parents; and family: Harold Miller, Olive Miller, Kenneth Miller, Mary Roberts, Elray Hoylman, Phyllis, Barbara and Rex Bloom.

A Graveside Service will held 1:00 pm Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Wassonville Cemetery, Wellman, with Military Rites by the Charles A. Polton Post #427 American Legion. Visitation will be Friday, June 29, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. A memorial fund has been established for Fisher House "VA Family Stay" or Family Choice.
