Donald E. Timm, age 92, of Lost Nation, Iowa, died on Sunday morning, July 1, 2018 at Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa, Iowa.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11A.M., Friday, July 6, 2018, at the Elwood United Methodist Church in Elwood, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Carson Celebration of Life Center, in Maquoketa, Iowa. Burial will be at the Elwood Cemetery, Elwood, Iowa.

Donald E. Timm was born on August 3, 1925 in rural Lost Nation, Iowa, to Elmer Forrest Timm and Lena Caroline Wiedenhoff. He attended the Oxford Junction High School. He married Delma Kramer on June 4, 1950 at the Elwood United Methodist Church in Elwood, Iowa.

Donald had farmed in the Lost Nation and Elwood, Iowa areas for many years.

Donald enjoyed playing euchre and solitaire. He was a member of the Elwood United Methodist church, and a director of the Elwood, Iowa Cemetery, and he liked to help Lynn Beaudry with spring and fall field work.

Donald is survived by his wife, Delma of Lost Nation, IA; 2 sons, Duane (Jeffery Gomez) Timm of Davenport, IA, and Kenneth (Pam) Timm of Chester, IL; 3 grandchildren, John Timm, Maria (Aaron) Rex and Laura (Ryan) Paulsen; and 5 great-grandchildren, Chase, Brody, Rees, Keegan and Jeremiah. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters, Evelyn Crist and Darlene Zaruba.

Memorials may be made to the Elwood United Methodist church or Camp Courageous.
