Evelyn A. Larson, 73, of Winona died Monday July 2, 2018 at Sauer Healthcare with family and friends by her side. Evelyn was born on June 20, 1945 to Robert and Charlotte (Brabbit) Gunn. She married Marvin Pierce, but they later divorced. On August 5, 1972 she married Ivan Larson in Watertown, SD. Evelyn enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, babysitting, sewing, and traveling. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Evelyn is survived by her 2 sons, Bob and Larry Pierce, both of Austin, MN; 2 daughters, Katrina Pierce of Ettrick, WI and Pojo (Trevor) Rutske of Winona; 2 brothers, Tom (Roberta) Gunn of Winona and Jim (Mary) Gunn of Winona; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; parents, Robert and Charlotte; sisters, Betty (Gunn) Larsen and Carol (Gunn) Morey; and an infant son, John Pierce. Evelyn will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Words cannot even begin to express the thanks that Sauer Healthcare deserves for the excellent care and compassion that so many showed her in the 4.5 years she lived there, really making it like her home. A prayer service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Evelyn will be laid to rest in Witoka Cemetery.
