Dale R. Bangasser
October 21, 1947 - July 5, 2018

Dale R. Bangasser, 70, of Allison, Iowa, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the Clarksville Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Clarksville, Iowa. He was born October 21, 1947, at the Lutheran Hospital in Hampton, Iowa, to Donald and Jean (During) Bangasser.

Dale graduated from Ackley High school. He was united in marriage on March 25, 1966, in Aplington, Iowa, to Verda Winkowitsch, they were blessed with two children Darcy and Mark. Dale worked at Terex Cranes in Waverly, then farmed until the mid-80's. He also worked at Waterloo Warehouse. Dale was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He was also a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, then transferred his membership to St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. Dale enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's activities. He also enjoyed horse sales, races and had several racehorses of his own. Some of his other interests were gardening and fishing.

Dale is survived by his daughter Darcy (Tony) Fecht of Allison, son Mark (Jodi) Bangasser of Allison, granddaughter Ashley (Zach) Bangasser of Clarksville, granddaughter Allie (Jake) Hartz of Cedar Falls, grandson Trevor (Megan) Fecht of Allison, grandson Coby (Cassie) Bangasser of Allison, granddaughter Cassidy Bangasser of Waterloo, great-granddaughter Thea Hartz of Cedar Falls, sister Elaine (Lee) Neymeyer of Aplington, niece Stacy (Eric) Krob, nephew John Neymeyer, nephew Mark (Darcy) Neymeyer, two great nieces and eleven great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Jean Bangasser.
