"My name is Rhonda (Meyer) Gandy. I found out about Judy's passing late yesterday. Don and Judy were my godparents! Judy and my Mother were very good friends and have made many memories with them as I have. Don and Judy would come to my grandparents house in Whittemore when we were there and visited for hours, all the while spoiling me! I'd go to their house to visit and also play in the park near their house. I have so many fond memories of them not only throughout my childhood but also my adult life. We'd receive the letters telling the tales of their journeys and all the while wondered what it must have been like for them to see such beauty in this world. I will always remember Judy (and Donny) and cherish the memories they've left me!! They were an amazing couple, had hearts of gold & cherished friends and family. She will be missed but never forgotten!! GOD BLESS ?"

"Judy and I became friends in 1963 when she worked at the Kossuth County Credit Bureau, and I worked as office secretary for Algona Chamber of Commerce in the Heise Building. After I married and moved to another city, my husband and I continued to see Donnie and Judy occasionally over the years. They had such a comfortable and loving relationship with each other and knew how to enjoy life and friends along the way. I think it no coincidence that they left within a short time of each other. My you enjoy your next circle of life, Judy and Don."

Bob and Donna Tumpack wrote on Jul 9, 2018:

"We met Judy and Donnie on a European trip many years ago and have enjoyed having them as friends. We visited them in Algona and Judy always made us feel special. Anytime we were on a road trip, we knew we wouldn't get lost if Judy was the navigator. She was better than a GPS. Judy's reputation as a shopper was known by all her friends. A storekeeper's eyes would light up when Judy came in because they knew she would find something she couldn't live without. We will miss her Christmas newsletters that would update us on the year's activities. She enjoyed life and her friends enjoyed her. Bob and Donna Tumpack, Sanford, FL."

"Judy was a good Friend. I met her when I worked for her at the Credit Bureau. She always stressed accuracy in her work. Later she asked me to Join the Red Hat Group. We had many wonderful trips and she always drove the van for all of us. She also Invited me to join Soroptimist Group. She worked hard for many years for Soroptimist always selling more nuts then any member. Once a week she came to my home and we shared a lot of good times on the porch on Call Street. Always a good Friend. I am sure she is smiling down on us today. Rest In Peace, Judy.."

Henry and Evelyn Friedrich wrote on Jul 8, 2018:

"Our sincere sympathy to Judy's family. May the words of Jesus: "I am the resurrection and the life. Everyone who believes in me, though he die shall live; and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die", give comfort to all who mourn Judy's death. "

"Judy and I became friends when I started working for Judge Jim Andreasen in 1965 and we had coffee together every workday. Then, it was lunch at her Credit Bureau office in 1972 to watch "As The World Turns." Right before we moved to Dallas in 1978, Don and Judy went with us to Fort Dodge to see an unknown group called The Oak Ridge Boys. After that Don and Judy came to Texas to see us at least four times and we would stay with them when we came to Algona, the last time in 2015 for our 50th class reunion. She would keep us updated on their trips with her Christmas newsletters. We weren't sisters, but we could tell each other anything and knew it went no farther. Some lucky people are going to get some gorgeous clothes and jewelry. She will be a good and faithful servant in heaven, as she was on this earth.
