Edward Lachlan Bremner died peacefully on July 6, 2018 after 87 years of living and enjoying life. He was a doting husband to Janet, his loving wife of 61 years, who predeceased him in March of 2012. Ed was born on July 23, 1930 in Schenectady, New York, was the only son of Nellie and Cecil Bremner. "Eddie" attended Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn, class of 1948.

Growing up, Ed lived on 82nd Street in Brooklyn and worked every day stocking shelves at a local grocery store. Ed was an avid volunteer and enjoyed engaging with people on homeowner associations, church groups, Habitat for Humanity builds, and as a hospital volunteer at St. Vincent Carmel. Even with those commitments, he made sure that he never missed one of his children's or grandchildren's special events and always had his camera at the ready.

Ed was blessed with seven grandchildren, Sarah (Mike) Webster, Russell (Dana) Bremner, Matthew (Carley) Bremner, David ( Shawn) Valentine, Lindsey (Fred) Martinez, Joshua Bremner, and Laura Valentine; and eight great grandchildren, Claire, Andrew, Crew, Lucas, Adele, Reid, Maddie, Rylee.

"Roy, James, Ellen, and Families, I was so sorry to hear of Ed's (my godfather) passing. I remember fondly many great times with him and the family at Candlewood Lake, Ocean City, Hatboro, and Brooklyn. I even remember watching the Brooklyn Dodgers on TV with your grandfathers! Always the gentleman, Ed fills a warm space in my heart. My sincere sympathy to you all. Ken Feldtmose West Hartford, CT"

"Lake time visits w/ Mr. B were such a treat! In between his ?list of house projects? for young ?James?, he would take the time to get caught up on our family, offer his thoughts on current events, and discuss any other topic you?d like. Always positive, always animated, and truly entertaining! He?ll be missed for sure but will remain a staple memory for all of us lakeside!"
