Veronica "Ronnie" McGough, 91, of Fort Dodge passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and then 10:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with a vigil at 7:00p.m.
Survivors include her sons, Doug (Shari); Dan (Julie) both of Twin Lakes; daughters, Paulette (Randy) Schuh of Des Moines; Karen (Robert) Heun of Otho; daughter-in-law, Sherry McGough of Des Moines; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Rita Ivory of Fort Dodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Josephine (Hoefer) Doyle; husband, Paul; son, Jim and siblings, Peggy Nelson, Vi Westergaard, Irene Bock. JoAnn Sullivan, Joseph Doyle, Larry Doyle, and Chuck Doyle.
Veronica Agnes Doyle was born June 7, 1927 in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. Ronnie was united in marriage to Paul McGough on September 18, 1945 at Corpus Christi Church. The couple made their home on a farm east of Fort Dodge. In 1965, the couple established McGough Construction. Besides assisting with the business, Ronnie was a realtor for many years. She was an active member in the Homebuilders Association.
Ronnie enjoyed her work, card club, baking and especially, Twin Lakes. The most important thing to Ronnie was her family.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

"Dear Polly and all, Sympathies to all for you mom leaving earth,but joyfulness for her Heavenly homecoming. Also her passing is the first one I have ever responded to in this way. When Brinda Griggs told me you mom passed at church today I said I have got to start looking at obits, So this is my first one. We talk about you often when I go out with the girls on tues night when the Catholic girls come down to do the church service at the care center. We hope to come down to your place. I will try to go with them. Love you old friends. Marilyn G. Anderson"
