Bernice G. Peterson, of Lakeland, Fla., passed away after battling cancer on Saturday, July 7,
2018. She was born in Wyalusing, Wis. to Lester and Martha Seely. She was a waitress and
homemaker. She was an avid bowler and was part of the Florida 500 Club in Naples, Fla.. She
was involved in the Moose Lodge and Girl Scouts as well. She was married to Robert G.
Peterson for 54 years and resided in Golden Gate, Fla for 35 years. Survivors include her son,
Don (Mary) Peterson, Lakeland, Fla.; daughter, Phyllis Williams, Paragould, Ark.; five
grandchildren, Joey (Leigh) Peterson, Julie (CJ) Birge, Jim Williams, Chris (Stacy) Williams,
Heidi (John) Harding; twelve great-grand children and two great-great-grand children. She was
preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert G. Peterson; parents, Lester and Martha
Seely; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Final resting place will be at Sunset Memory Gardens in
Madison, Wis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in her honor to Good Shepard Hospice of Lakeland, 3470 Lakeland Hills Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33805.
