Richard Francis Goucher
November 6, 1955 - July 8, 2018

Richard Francis "Rickey" Goucher, age 62 of Woodbine NJ, died Sunday, July 8, 2018 in the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Robert Howard and Doris F. (nee McNutt) Goucher.

He was a graduate of Upper Darby High School and attended Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.

He was employed by Bally's Casino as a Dealer and he worked at the Acme Markets in Seaville, NJ as a Cashier for the 12 years prior to his illness.

Rickey loved his summers in Ocean City, NJ growing up. He spent his time walking and socializing on the beach with family and friends. He was passionate about music, movies, and Broadway Shows. He was also an avid Eagles Fan as long as they were going to win the Super Bowl. Other than those years, not so much.

Rickey is survived by his devoted sister, Mary Lynne Loughery of Ambler, PA; and brothers, Jerry Goucher and his wife Elaine of Blue Bell, PA and Scott Goucher and his wife Valerie of Ocean City, NJ. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Morgan Parker, Taylor Loughery, Justin, Madison and Liam Goucher, and Gerard, Claire, and Eamon Goucher and his brother in law, Bill Loughery, who helped care for Rickey this past year.

On behalf of Rickey, his family members thank all of those who provided encouragement and well wishes to him over the last year as he courageously battled cancer. He was amazingly strong and brave during his fight. We trust that he will spend eternity in a better place.

Rickey will be remembered at all masses, both Saturday and Sunday, this weekend in all 3 Catholic Churches in Ocean City, NJ.

His family would appreciate donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html American Cancer Society
