Gordon E. Perry,
82, of Carmel, Indiana departed this life July 7, 2018 in Indianapolis. Gordon was born August 3, 1935 in Toronto, Canada to the late Cecil and Ivy Perry. Gordon served three years in the Royal Canadian Air Force before moving to Southern California at the age of 21. There he would meet the love of his life, Marylande Figueiredo. They were married in 1975 and lived in the San Fernando Valley. They spent the last ten years in San Marcos, CA until coming to Carmel, Indiana one year ago. Gordon had worked for Motorola Corporation for many years, retiring in 1999. He was a kind and gentle soul who always put his family first. Gordon was a longtime member of St. Mark Catholic Church in San Marcos, California where he was active as a Fourth Degree Knight of the St. Mark Council of the Knights of Columbus #6979. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Marylande F. Perry; his beloved children, David (Meghan) Perry, Christy (David) Guerra and Greg (Lupe) Perry; dear sister, Joan (Newman) Howard and five grateful grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Visitation for Gordon will begin at 1:30 pm and conclude at time of Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 pm in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Interment follows at Carmel Cemetery.
