Wilma G. Gullickson
1926 - 2018

Wilma Genevieve Gullickson died June 22, 2018, in Eugene, Oregon.

Wilma was born in Denver, Colorado, to Martha and Herbert Knapp. She graduated from North High School and Central Business College in Denver, Colorado.

As a young adult Wilma was active in Christian Endeavor and Hickory Dicks, a social ski club where she met her late husband, Alden Gullickson. They were married Nov. 7, 1947. Wilma and Ad raised two daughters in Denver. In 1961 the family moved to Loveland, Colorado where they later opened their home to an American Field Service student, Tone Hagen Gustavsen of Hurdal, Norway. Wilma moved to Oregon late in life to be near family.

Wilma spent her life serving others, always putting family and friends first, and volunteering for many charitable organizations. Wilma and Ad enjoyed POTS, a potluck group of four couples originating from Christian Endeavor, that met once a month for 67 years. She enjoyed travel, reading, history and was a life-long learner, who often cut out articles she knew others would be interested in. Her clippings were legendary.

Wilma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Sons of Norway Stein Fjell Lodge in Colorado. In Oregon she joined Emmaus Lutheran Church and Sonja Lodge.

Wilma is survived by daughters, Sheila Ehrich of Lakeville, MN, Karen (Harold) Leeson of Eugene, OR; grandchildren Richard Ehrich (Kelley Lockhart) of Colorado Springs, CO, Jon Ehrich (Christine Lloyd) of Seattle, WA, Brian Leeson of Princeton, NJ, Jeffrey Leeson of Eugene, OR; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alden Gullickson.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3333 Duffield Ave. in Loveland, Colorado, on July 26, 2018 at 10 AM. A committal service will be held at 10 am July 5, 2018 at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Ft. Collins, Colorado.
