Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Ruth Linder Smith, age 85, of Alpine will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. John Copeland will officiate. Burial will be in the Hancock Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Friday evening from 5 until 9 p.m., at Speck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Anna Ruth passed from this life on Wednesday morning, July 11, 2018 from the Signature Heatlhcare in Algood. She was born in Overton County on May 4, 1933 to the late Claude & Bonnie Owens Linder. Anna Ruth was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Alpine. She loved college basketball and piecing quilts.
Anna Ruth leaves her son, Kevin Smith of Alpine, TN; granddaughter, Daniela Smith of Livingston, TN; grandson, Drew Smith of Livingston, TN; great grandchildren, Braxton Smith and Jaylen Cooper; sister, Jewell Linder of Alpine, TN,; sister-in-laws, Sue Pope of Alpine, TN and Louise Stover & husband Hank of Alpine, TN; brother-in-law, Kenny Hancock; and special cousin, Jerry Linder & wife Ann of Alpine, TN.
In addition to her parents, Anna Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Carver Eugene Smith.
Pallbearers to serve are Kevin Smith, Drew Smith, Daniela Smith, Gerald Clark, Jeff Hammons & Kenny Cooper.
