Jacqueline ("Jackie") Rose (Hudelson) Gilliam, age 96, passed away peacefully at the home of her loving daughter, Noël, in Annapolis, Maryland on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. Jackie was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Francis and Geraldine (Carteaux) Hudelson on January 22, 1922. Jackie married Gilbert Patrick Gilliam on October 7, 1950. Together for 42 years until Gilbert's passing in 1993, they raised seven children in Carmel, Indiana, Emily Ann (Michael) Wanous; James Michael Gilliam; Ellen Noël (Dennis) Madden; Anita Jo Gilliam; Timothy Patrick (Elena) Gilliam; Shirly Suzanne (Steve) Lassley and Colleen Sheryl Gilliam. Jackie is survived by her children, 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Jackie enjoyed dancing and sailing with her husband, was a long-time prayer warrior and had a wonderful singing voice taking part in the music ministry at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church in Fishers, Indiana. In recent years, Jackie enjoyed traveling to California to see her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, 11441 Hague Rd, Fishers, IN 46038. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am with Mass following at 11:00 am. Jackie will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis, Indiana.
