Robert John "Bob" Wente
March 18, 1943 - July 23, 2018

Robert John "Bob" Wente,
75, of Indianapolis, departed this life at his home on Monday, July 23, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 18, 1943 to the late Joseph Robert and Marion (Abrams) Wente in Brooklyn, NY. Bob also loved to play golf with his buddies and always had a motorcycle to ride in the summer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Carolyn J. (Woods) Wente; his dedicated children, Brian (Heather) Wente, Kevin (Tammy) Wente and Anita (Dan) Short; his loving sister, Susan Muller and six wonderful grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

"I met Mr. Wente by sheer coincidence through work, and it has been a pleasure getting to know him and his beautiful, supportive wife. I met Mr. Wente in passing not realizing that his daughter in law Heather was a teacher of mine. I learned this through good conversation. I wish I had the chance to know Mr. Wente more, but I am thankful for the time I was able to have with him. Mr. Wente was very outgoing and always had a positive outlook regardless of where life has taken him. Every time I saw him, he would always bear a smile regardless of the situation at hand. My condolences go out to the family, especially to Mrs. Carolyn Wente. Sadly I could not make it to the service today because I?m working, but in memory of Mr. Wente, I have made a $25 donation to the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association. Best Regards, -Chey"
