John A. Hokenson
John A. Hokenson, 66, of Waterloo, died at Covenant Medical Center Monday, July 16, 2018. He was born January 29, 1952 in Independence, the son of Arthur L. & Irene (Bushell) Hokenson. He graduated from Oelwein High School in 1970. John married Renee South, they later divorced. He worked for Goodwill Industries of NEIA in Waterloo sorting and helping stock the store. He enjoyed rummaging through stuff, collecting anything to do with boxing, watching boxing matches and old comedy shows on TV. John is survived by: two brothers, Richard "Rick" Hokenson of Oelwein and Kevin Hokenson of Des Moines. He is preceded in death by: His parents and a brother, Donald Hokenson.
