Tracey Auman
August 13, 1976 - August 1, 2018

Tracey Lynn Auman, 41, of Rushford died at home in hospice care Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Tracey was born August 13, 1976 in Skokie, IL to Bill and Carol (Roth) Liss. She moved with her family as an infant to Peterson and graduated from Rushford-Peterson High School in 1994. Following high school Tracey attended Scott Lewis School of Cosmetology. She met Trevor Auman in Rochester, while sharing her joy of singing through karaoke. Tracey and Trevor were married June 26, 2002. They lived in Burnsville before returning to Rushford to live.
Tracey was very outgoing and enjoyed being around people. She was dedicated to her two children, Xander and Aubrie. Who were the greatest joys of her life. Tracey had a good spirit, knew her mind, was feisty and good hearted. Her good heart led her to rescuing many stray pets or animals in need. She was proud of nursing a baby Purple Finch to health, then released by the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville MN. Her love for her children led her to a career in Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) at Lanesboro Schools. She was pursuing a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education at the time of her diagnosis in 2016.
Survivors include her husband, Trevor, two children, Xander and Aubrie, parents, Bill and Carol Liss of Peterson, a sister Terri (Shayn) Jensson of Lanesboro, a brother Jesse Liss of Peterson niece and nephew, Lea and Logan Jensson.

"When we moved into Peterson many years ago the Liss family was the first to come over and welcome us. One early memory about Tracey growing up is seeing her in the yard working on a go cart that I believe she raced at the tracks, impressive. Then I heard her singing voice, WOW! Beautiful! So glad her video included her singing, melted my heart. My deepest condolences to Trevor, Xander, Aubrie and family. "

"Trevor, Aubrie, Xander and Family Members, On behalf of all the employees and the School Board Members at Rushford ? Peterson, I extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to you and your families. We were saddened by Tracey?s passing. We know that she was very courageous in her efforts to fight her cancer. We know how difficult it has been to cope and to remain strong and supportive during her illness. We commend you on the love and support you have maintained and provided to Tracey and one another. The saying goes that when we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that will watch over us. May you take comfort in knowing that you now have an angel in Tracey, who will lovingly watch over you. Please trust that Tracey is in the warm embrace of the ?Good Lord? and is at peace. She will forever enjoy the joys and comforts of heaven. May the Good Lord bless and comfort you and your families during this time of grief.
