Claude Thomas Coyle
91, resident of Lebanon, IN for 37 years, he was born in Indianapolis May 27, 1927 to the parents of Fred and Dorothy Jeffers Coyle. Claude served in the U. S. Navy in the year of 1945 and 1946 Seabees. He retired from the City of Carmel as a Chief Mechanic, after retirement Claude worked for the Indianapolis car auction exchange. Claude was a longtime NASCAR fan of Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge of Carmel. Claude loved the ocean and enjoyed playing his French harp. He was married for 50 years to Anna Martha Johnson Coyle until she passed away on Jan of 1996.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Janice Coyle Essex (John) and Claudia Coyle Wetzel (Karl); 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by wife, A his daughter, Carolyn Coyle Selke; 2 brothers, Fred E. Coyle and Jac A. Coyle; father and mother, Fred and Dorothy Jeffers Coyle.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the Indiana Hearth Assoc. or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
Visitation will be from 9:00am-11:00am with the funeral service at 11:00am Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Crown Hill Funeral Home 700 W. 38th St. Indianapolis.
